Singapore Airlines has announced that it will adopt Starlink to deliver high-speed, low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-based in-flight WiFi across selected aircraft, with rollout starting in the first quarter of 2027.
The upgrade will be introduced progressively on the airline’s Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range fleets, as well as its Airbus A380 aircraft.
Singapore Airlines says the Starlink deployment is expected to be completed by the end of 2029.
Up to 1Gbps connectivity with Starlink
According to the airline, Starlink’s network now consists of over 10,000 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites that can deliver multi-gigabit connectivity to aircraft via its Aero Terminal. It can support of up to 1Gbps per antenna.
The move to go with Starlink is expected to provide faster and more consistent connectivity from gate to gate, enabling passengers to stream video, share content on social media, play online games, and send large files while in the air.
Complimentary Unlimited WiFi remains for all eligible passengers

Singapore Airlines says its existing unlimited complimentary WiFi offering will continue on Starlink-enabled aircraft.
This applies to Suites, First Class and Business Class passengers, PPS Club members, as well as KrisFlyer members travelling in Premium Economy and Economy Class.
For Premium Economy and Economy passengers, they must enter their KrisFlyer membership details during booking or check-in. Non-members can sign up for a free KrisFlyer account either online or onboard via KrisWorld.

Other airlines that have picked Starlink as their in-flight WiFi partner include Qatar, Emirates, United Airlines, British Airways, Air France and Virgin Atlantic.
