Xiaomi Malaysia has officially opened pre-orders for the Redmi Note 17 Series in Malaysia, bringing four new phones to its popular mid-range line-up.
For the first time, the series introduces a top-tier Pro Max model with huge upgrades to battery life and water protection.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G

As the top-spec flagship in the series, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz CrystalRes AMOLED display with 3,500 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Available in Cloud Blush, Purple, and Black, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor with memory configurations reaching up to 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Battery life is anchored by a massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W HyperCharge fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging.
On the photography front, it offers a 50MP main camera with OIS and 4K video, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera.
The device is built with a Titan Structure rated for IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K water and dust resistance, 2-metre 72-hour immersion protection, and 3-metre SGS granite drop resistance. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 with Xiaomi HyperAI and carries a 6-year like-new software smoothness rating.
Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G

Positioned right below the flagship, the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G comes in Sky Blue, Purple, and Black. It sports the same 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display with 3,500 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Performance is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It packs an 8,340mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 67W HyperCharge and 22.5W reverse charging.
For cameras, it features a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP front camera. It retains the exact same IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings, 2-metre water immersion, and 3-metre SGS drop resistance as the Pro Max, along with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and six years of security updates.
Redmi Note 17 5G

The standard 5G variant comes in Celestial Purple, Sky Teal, and Black. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor with memory configurations up to 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, and upgrades to a larger 6.99-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with 1,800 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
It houses a 7,700mAh silicon-carbon battery with 45W turbo charging and 22.5W reverse charging. Imaging is handled by a 50MP main rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera supporting dual-video recording. It carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, Wet Touch Technology 2.0, and runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 with six years of security updates.
Redmi Note 17

Serving as the base model in the range, the 4G Redmi Note 17 comes in the same colour options as the Redmi Note 17 5G (Celestial Purple, Sky Teal, and Black).
Under the bonnet, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. It uses the same 6.99-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with 1,800 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Battery capacity remains at 7,700mAh with 45W turbo charging and 22.5W reverse charging. Camera specs include a 50MP primary rear sensor and a 16MP front shooter. It also features IP65 dust and splash resistance, Wet Touch Technology 2.0, Xiaomi HyperOS 3, and six years of security update support.
Pre-order promotions and Malaysia availability

Ahead of its official launch on 2 September 2026, in-store pre-orders are currently open at Xiaomi Stores through 4 September 2026. Online pre-orders will run from 2 to 4 September on mi.com and official brand outlets such as Shopee and Lazada.
You can get up to RM300 off their purchase alongside free gifts worth up to RM4,321. Placing a non-refundable RM100 deposit on the Pro models unlocks pre-order gifts including the REDMI Headphones Neo (worth RM399) and the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active (worth RM129) while stocks last. Pre-orders also include Xiaomi’s comprehensive “No. 1 Protection” package, offering extended battery, screen, liquid damage, and back cover warranty coverage.
For context on pricing, previous generations in the Redmi Note series generally ranged between RM799 for the base entry models and RM1,699 for the Pro series options at launch.
Pre-order buyers who collect their devices at the Xiaomi Store in The Exchange TRX on 5 September 2026 (starting from 10 AM) can also join a first-come, first-served “Redmi Boss for A Day” meet-and-greet event with ambassador Meerqeen.
