Nothing confirms Phone (2a). Launch coming soon?

Nothing just sent out an update confirming that the Nothing Phone (2a) is real and assures that the phone is a “clear upgrade compared to the Phone (1) in every front.” This comment comes from Nothing’s co-founder and marketing lead Akis Evangelidis in a community update video.

The official specs of the phone are still unknown, but we have covered a previous leak for the specifications that paints the Phone (2a) as a midrange device when compared to the Nothing Phone (2).

According to the leak, we can expect that the Phone (2a) will have:

  • MediaTek Dimensity 7200
  • 8GB or 12GB of RAM
  • 128GB or 256GB of storage
  • 50MP + 50MP rear camera
  • 16MP selfie camera
  • Nothing OS2.5 based on Android 14

The rumoured launch price for the phone is expected to be around USD400 (about RM1,892). No launch window has been shared online thus far. As a point of reference, the Nothing Phone (2) was launched in July 2023, with the Malaysian launch happening within the same month.
