Back in May, Sony revealed the Sony Xperia I IV and the Xperia 10 IV as their latest flagship and midrange devices. The Xperia I IV has since been made available for pre-order in Malaysia, and Sony Malaysia has followed it up by now announcing that the Xperia 10 IV is now also available for pre-order.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV comes in just one configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Available in either Mint or Black colourways, it’s priced at RM2,099 and you can pre-order it from now will the 31st of July 2022 from the Sony eStore as well as from Shopee and Lazada. If you do pre-order it from Sony, you’ll also be able to get yourself a free pair of Sony WF-C500 wireless earbuds worth RM449.
Sony Xperia 10 IV specs
The Sony Xperia 10 IV might actually be a great option for those wanting a more compact device, as it features a 6-inch, FHD+ OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. You do however lose out on any high refresh rates here, but there is still a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus over the display for scratch resistance. It’s also rather small and light, measuring just 8.3mm thin and weighing just 161g. There’s IP68 dust and water resistance too.
While the Xperia 10 III had a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690, the Xperia 10 IV gets a small upgrade to the Snapdragon 695 instead. That gets mated to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with Android 12 available right out of the box. Speaking of boxes, the Xperia 10 IV will not be coming with a charging brick or even a USB-C cable in the box by the way, as part of its ‘Road to Zero’ green initiative.
In the camera department, there’s no optical zoom lens like its flagship Xperia 1 IV cousin, but you still are getting a triple camera setup on the rear here. There’s a 12MP main camera flanked by an 8MP ultrawide lens as well as an 8MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The front of the device meanwhile has an 8MP camera for selfies.
Other features of note include a 5,000mAh battery that Sony says offers you an all-day battery life, a 3.5mm audio jack and a side mounted fingerprint sensor, though there’s unfortunately no stereo speaker setup on the Xperia 10 IV. There’s NFC, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity too along with support for 5G.
