If you have kids from the age of 5 to 13 years old, and they (or you) own at least one of the sets from the extensive Lego Super Mario collection, listen up! Lego Malaysia is holding a “Build, Play and Win” championship where you could win prizes worth over RM3,418. And all you need to do is to have fun, get creative, and own at least one set from the collection.
The Lego Super Mario collection consists of many different expansion courses that connect to the Mario universe—which you can see here. But the heart of the collection are the two starter courses—the Mario Starter Course, and the Luigi Starter Course. In order to play with the interactive expansion sets, you’d at least need one of these starter courses. You can watch two examples of how t play the sets—one that features just the Lego Mario Course, and one that features Mario, Luigi, and several expansion sets.
To join the content, visit Lego Malaysia’s official page where they explain how you can enter. You’d first need to make sure the contestant is at least 5 years old, and not older than 13 (they also advise to have an adult around for supervision!).
You can then “get creative” and use any combination of the Lego Super Mario sets that you already have to create a “unique Lego Super Mario level design”. The contestants would also need to be filmed playing their newly built level. They can either play as one, or team up as a two-person team if they have both Lego Mario and Lego Luigi. You’ll also need to capture an overview of the level, too.
“We’ll be judging you on creativity of the Lego Super Mario level design, total coins earned from playing the level and the Lego Super Mario spirit shown in the video!” said Lego.
Lego showcased a few examples of what the entries look like. Once you’ve compiled your footage and pictures for your entry, you can click “READY TO SUBMIT” on this page to fill up a form. Please note that videos submitted must not be longer than 30 seconds.
The Lego Super Mario Championship runs from now until 17 October 2021. The prizes include the Lego Super Mario sets from their huge range worth more than RM3,418.
