Xiaomi’s Mi Box is now available on contract when you sign up for Digi’s Broadband plans. Retailing at RM349, the Android TV-powered box can be yours at 48% off.

To recap, the Mi Box is an affordable set-top box that can push 4K UHD content at 60 fps with room to support HDR10 via a software update in future. It runs on a 2.0GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. At the back, it has an HDMI2.0a port, a USB 2.0 port (for storage expansion) and a SPDIF out / 3.5mm audio port. There’s no LAN but it supports dual-band WiFi up to 802.11ac and it comes with a voice-supported remote that connects via Bluetooth 4.0.

The Mi Box is available when you sign up for Digi Broadband 60 and 100 plan which comes with a total of 40GB and 100GB of internet respectively. On Digi Broadband 60 (RM60/month), you get 16GB of data, 8GB for on-demand channels (paid subscription platforms such as Netflix, iflix, dimsum) and 16GB for other free streaming services (such as YouTube, daily motion and digital radio). Meanwhile, on Digi Broadband 100, you get 40GB of data, 10GB for stream on demand and 50GB for stream free channels.

The Mi Box on Digi would cost RM15/month for 12 months. On Digi Broadband 60 it requires an upfront payment of RM60 during sign up and the upfront payment is waived if you’re on Digi Postpaid 100. As usual, you’ll need to pay 1-month advance subscription during registration.
