This post is brought to you by MSI.
MSI recently hosted a media showcase in Malaysia, offering a hands-on look at its newest flagship 2-in-1, the Prestige N16 Flip AI+. While the event spotlighted several models across MSI’s design and performance line-up, the primary focus was firmly on the new Prestige model, MSI’s first laptop built on NVIDIA’s newly announced RTX Spark platform.

Priced firmly in enterprise and professional workstation territory, the Prestige N16 Flip AI+ is designed for on-device AI development and content creation, bypassing the need for cloud dependency.
Under the Hood: NVIDIA RTX Spark and Massive Memory

At the core of the MSI Prestige N16 Flip AI+ is the NVIDIA RTX Spark system-on-chip (SoC). The platform pairs an NVIDIA Grace CPU (20-core) with an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU featuring 6,144 CUDA cores.

The primary differentiator for this machine is its unified memory. The Prestige N16 Flip AI+ is available with up to 128GB of LPDDR5x RAM. According to MSI, packing 128GB of unified memory allows the laptop to run massive 70B to 100B-parameter LLMs locally without offloading data to slower system storage, keeping inference speeds high.

MSI positions this on-device capability as a critical advantage for enterprises and developers, citing benefits like lowered recurring API costs, total data privacy, and the ability to work entirely offline with zero cloud latency.

During the presentation, MSI also highlighted third-party reviewer benchmarks indicating that the hardware outpaces desktop-class development kits in tokens-per-second performance when running large language models.

To sustain this performance, MSI notes that the laptop utilises a Vapour Chamber and IntraFlow cooling system designed to prevent thermal throttling during prolonged agentic AI workloads and software compiling.
What About the Other Hardware

Despite housing enterprise-grade hardware, the Prestige N16 Flip AI+ remains a portable 2-in-1 convertible. It features a 360-degree hinge, tapering from 16.9mm down to 13.9mm, and weighs 1.9kg.

It also retains a very practical approach to I/O and battery life. It features the maximum airline-legal 99.9Wh battery capacity and supports 140W USB-C PD 3.1 fast charging. Connectivity is equally robust for a 2-in-1, offering a full-size SD Card Reader, a full HDMI 2.1 port (capable of 8K @ 120Hz), two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and two USB4 Type-C ports.

The display differs depending on the variant chosen. The top-tier 128GB model features a 16-inch UHD+ (3840×2400) Tandem OLED touchscreen. This dual-stack design yields tangible improvements, including up to 1,600 nits peak brightness, enhanced power efficiency, and a longer panel lifespan compared to standard single-stack OLED screens.

It also supports a 30-120Hz Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certified. The base model steps the display down slightly to a 16-inch 2.8K (2880×1800) OLED, retaining the 30-120Hz VRR and True Black 1000 certification.
Both models include the MSI Nano Pen. In a welcome design choice, the stylus charges rapidly in a built-in chassis groove, providing 45 minutes of use from a 13-second charge.

Security is handled by a dual biometric system, featuring both a fingerprint reader and an IR webcam for Windows Hello facial recognition.
