The new Honda City Hatchback 2026 facelift is now officially in Malaysia, just slightly over 2 weeks since it was made available for booking in our market. In fact, its sedan equivalent was only launched in Malaysia last month.

Locally assembled in Melaka, one of the major changes that Honda Malaysia has implemented on the 2026 facelift version, as opposed to the first facelift model that was released in 2024, is the removal of the lower-end S and E variants.

Instead, the new City Hatchback 2026 facelift is now down to the V, petrol-based RS, and the hybrid e:HEV RS. This also means that all City Hatchback 2026 facelift variants feature disc brakes all-round.

In other words, none of the City Hatchback 2026 facelift variants come with drum brakes, which are usually only equipped in lower-end variants – just in case you are concerned about any specification discrepancies, as per what happened to its sedan counterpart.

Honda City Hatchback 2026 Facelift Malaysia Pricing

The first Honda City Hatchback 2026 facelift to roll out from Honda Malaysia’s plant in Melaka.

Here is the official price of the new Honda City Hatchback 2026 facelift:

  • 2026 Honda City Hatchback e:HEV RS – RM108,900
  • 2026 Honda City Hatchback Petrol RS – RM96,900
  • 2026 Honda City Hatchback V – RM91,900

The price listed above is inclusive of the RM4,000 launch rebate. There is also an additional RM2,000 rebate for customers who traded in their vehicle through the selected Honda Certified Used Car (HCUC) programme.

Alternatively, in collaboration with Carsome, Honda is also offering RM1,000 rebate for customers that trading in vehicles of any brand at participating Honda authorised dealers.

Honda City Hatchback 2026 Facelift Malaysia Colourways, Warranty

The new Honda City Hatchback 2026 facelift can be obtained in Blazing Red Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic.

Do note that there is an additional fee of RM400 for Blazing Red Pearl and Platinum White Pearl. There is also the Stellar Diamond Pearl option, which is only available for the petrol-based V and RS variants.

All new Honda models purchased from 1 September 2026 come standard with an 8-year warranty with unlimited mileage. On top of that, the hybrid variant receives an upgraded 10-year warranty with unlimited mileage, specifically covering the hybrid battery and its related components.

Owners also get to enjoy up to 5 free labour services within 100,000km or 5 years, whichever comes first.

What’s New About The Honda City Hatchback 2026 Facelift?

The City Hatchback 2026 marks the second facelift for the current-generation model, which was originally introduced in Malaysia back in 2021. Unsurprisingly, many of the visual and feature updates introduced on the refreshed sedan have made their way to the hatchback as well.

Among these changes is a sharper front bumper profile paired with redesigned Connected Headlights across all variants. The range-topping RS variant gains sportier touches, including new 16-inch alloy wheels featuring a two-tone Berlina Black and Dark Clear finish.

Inside, the cabin gets a refreshed aesthetic with ambient lighting running across the dashboard. Practicality remains intact, as the facelift retains Honda’s signature Ultra Seats, offering four versatile rear seat configurations.

Tech-wise, the newly facelifted model now features a larger floating-style 10-inch infotainment screen (which Honda calls Display Audio), and there is also a wireless charger for the e:HEV variant. On the safety front, Honda has fitted the hatchback with a new 360-degree Multi-View Camera System, while also upgrading its safety suite with Blind Spot Information (BSI) and Cross Traffic Monitoring (CTM).

Honda e:HEV hybrid powertrain.

Under the hood, the range-topping option continues to feature Honda’s 1.5L e:HEV hybrid powertrain, which delivers 107hp (80kW) and 253Nm of torque. For those who prefer the petrol variants, they are equipped with a 119hp (89kW) 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder petrol engine option which also churns out 145Nm of torque.
