The highly anticipated iPhone Duo is now open for pre-orders in Malaysia but if you missed the first hour, you may have a long wait ahead.

Pre-orders for Apple’s first foldable iPhone opened at 8pm on Friday, 16 October and within an hour, most of the first-batch stock we checked had already sold out.

The iPhone Duo will officially go on sale in Malaysia next Friday, 23 October 2026, but demand appears to be outstripping the initial supply from Apple Authorised Retailers and telcos.

You can still place an order through Apple’s official online store, but at the time of writing, the estimated delivery date for new orders has been pushed to 22 January 2027 onwards.

Apple authorised retailers mostly sold out

If you’re hoping to get the iPhone Duo from an Apple Authorised Retailer, your chances of securing a unit for this year is looking very slim.

Our checks on Machines and Switch found that most iPhone Duo configurations have sold out on their respective online stores.

Even if they have stock available, they are mostly for January 2027 onwards as seen above on Senheng’s online store.

Availability is similarly limited on their official Lazada and Shopee stores. All iPhone Duo listings on official LazMall and Shopee Mall have sold out.

Stock availability could change due to cancelled orders or additional allocations, so you can try your luck and check again closer to launch day.

Telcos still have some iPhone Duo stock but they are running out fast

Your next option is to get the iPhone Duo through a telco such as Maxis, CelcomDigi, U Mobile and Yes 5G, although stocks are also becoming very limited.

Based on our checks, most telcos have already run out of several higher-capacity variants including the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB models, leaving mainly the 256GB version available.

However, having stock listed online does not necessarily mean you will receive your device on launch day. Some telco configurations currently show fulfilment dates extending into November.

If you need the iPhone Duo urgently, it is worth checking the expected delivery or collection date carefully before confirming your order.

Can you still buy an iPhone Duo on launch day?

Although most of the initial pre-order allocation has already been snapped up, there is still a chance to get an iPhone Duo when retail sales officially begin on Friday, 23 October.

Apple and selected retailers may have a separate stock allocation for walk-in customers and in-store collection. However, judging from the pre-order situation, launch-day stocks could be extremely limited.

If you are planning to walk in on the first day, it would be best to check with your preferred Apple Store, retailer or telco outlet beforehand before you start lining up at the doorstep.

iPhone Duo Malaysia pricing

As a recap, the iPhone Duo is available in Star White and Night Sky with four storage configurations in Malaysia:

  • 256GB – RM9,499
  • 512GB – RM10,499
  • 1TB – RM12,499
  • 2TB – RM15,499
