Honda has officially launched the new Honda City 2026 facelift in Malaysia. Timed nicely with the 78th anniversary of Honda’s incorporation, it is actually the 2nd facelift of the model, which itself is the 5th generation Honda City sedan.
For the 2026 facelift model, Honda has refreshed the exterior of the City with a sportier and more youthful design. At the same time, several enhancements have also been made to its digital and safety features.
Honda City 2026 Facelift Malaysia Pricing, Colourways, Warranty
Locally assembled in Melaka, here’s the retail price for the new Honda City 2026 FL, not inclusive of insurance:
- 2026 Honda City 1.5L E: RM89,900
- 2026 Honda City 1.5L V: RM94,900
- 2026 Honda City 1.5L RS (Petrol): RM99,900
- 2026 Honda City 1.5L e:HEV RS: RM111,900
The newly facelifted model can be obtained in Blazing Red Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic. There is also the Stellar Diamond Pearl which is available only for the V and Petrol RS variants.
Do note that there is an additional fee of RM400 for Blazing Red Pearl and Platinum White Pearl.
The new Honda City 2026 facelift is covered by an 8-year unlimited mileage warranty. At the same time, the hybrid battery on the City e:HEV 2026 is supported by a 10-year unlimited mileage warranty.
Honda City 2026 Facelift: Special City Rewards Programme Rebates
Meanwhile, Honda Malaysia is also offering rebates for the facelifted City through the Special City Programme Rewards for the first 2,400 buyers. Details regarding the programme were not mentioned on stage during the launch event, but upon further digging through postings by various Honda sales advisors on social media such as these examples, it appears that customers can get up to RM7,000 rebates through this programme.
That being said, the exact rebate that you can get depends on meeting certain requirements as listed below:
- Early Bird Booking: RM3,000 – available until 30 Sept 2026
- Launch Rebate: RM3,000
- Government Servants / H2H / H2H+ / National Car Owners: RM1,000
H2H is a reference to existing Honda owners, while H2H+ is the parent, spouse, or children of the existing Honda owners. To owners of Honda motorcycles, you are also categorised as H2H+.

Honda City 2026 Facelift: What’s new?
One of the main changes that the Honda City 2026 facelift has received is a revised front fascia that incorporates an integrated headlight setup with a full-width light bar. Functional air curtains have also been added to the front bumper for the first time on this model to improve airflow and widen the vehicle’s visual stance.
The rear bumper has also been redesigned to complement the restyled front. The top-spec e:HEV RS variant receives additional differentiation through exclusive 16-inch milled alloy wheels finished in a two-tone Berlina Black and Dark Clear appearance.
Inside, there is a new floating-style 10-inch infotainment display (Honda called it Display Audio) as well as integrated ambient lighting. Honda has also updated the 360-degree camera system with a multi-view interface.
In addition to that, there is also the Blind Spot Information with Cross Traffic Monitoring system that helps alert drivers to adjacent vehicles during lane changes or reversing. Meanwhile, the full Honda Sensing suite—which includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) —continues to come standard across all variants.
Similar to its predecessor, the Honda City 2026 facelift model still comes with 2 powertrain options. The e:HEV RS variant features a combination of a 97hp (72kW) 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine that also produces 127Nm of torque, and a 107hp (80kW) electric motor with 253Nm of torque. On the other hand, there is also the 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder option, which is paired with a CVT and can deliver 121hp as well as 145 Nm of torque.
