Shopee has announced a new RM150 million initiative aimed at supporting Malaysian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with a mix of short-term assistance and longer-term capability building.
The newly announced Shopee Lindung Niaga programme focuses on easing operational pressures while helping businesses remain competitive over time.
According to Shopee, the initiative is structured around three key areas: sustaining transaction activity, improving access to financing, and strengthening fulfilment capabilities.
Shopee Lindung Niaga initiatives for Malaysian MSMEs

Under the RM150 million package, Shopee is rolling out support measures that directly impact both sellers and buyers on the platform.
To maintain transaction momentum, Shopee is introducing no-minimum-spend free shipping vouchers. The company says this is meant to encourage continued purchases of everyday items while helping sellers sustain conversion rates. Additional voucher support is also being extended to bulkier categories such as furniture and home appliances to offset higher delivery costs and simplify logistics.
On financing, Shopee is expanding working capital access through its partnership with Monee. This includes SLoan for Sellers and Quick Funds. SLoan is positioned to facilitate over RM5 million in seller financing, with a 100% interest subsidy on the first instalment for new users. Quick Funds, meanwhile, offers 50% off advance fees and a 20-day free trial to improve cash flow access.
Shopee is also pushing its fulfilment ecosystem further by expanding access to Fulfilled by Shopee (FBS). Eligible sellers will receive a six-month complimentary trial, which includes warehousing and logistics support. According to Shopee, sellers using FBS have seen an average uplift of around 20% in store traffic.
Shopee Lindung Niaga to support and help MSMEs to grow
Shopee Malaysia Vice President Ian Ho said, “Shopee Lindung Niaga is designed to provide practical support where and when it matters
most, while continuing to invest in the systems and tools that small businesses rely on to operate and grow.”
He added, “At the same time, it is important that buyers continue to have access to essential goods with consistency and reliability. Both are important to a healthy and balanced ecosystem.”
Shopee said several sellers have leveraged on these programmes which has helped to support their business growth.
Dashboxx Solutions founder Nur Shafiqah Mokhtar, said, “SLoan helped us quickly unlock the extra capital we needed to grow. Instead of slowing down due to cash flow gaps, we were able to ramp up our operations almost immediately as approval and disbursement was completed in under 24 hours.”
Meanwhile, Moo Baby founder Stephen Beh, said, “Free shipping vouchers make a big difference for us. Customers are much more willing to complete their purchase when they don’t have to worry about delivery cost, especially for lower-ticket items. It really helps to push conversion and basket completion.”
Shopee to continue to invest in Digital Tools and AI to help sellers
Beyond immediate financial and operational support, Shopee says it is continuing to invest in digital tools aimed at improving seller efficiency. These include a Chat AI Assistant, Product AI Optimiser and AI Model Try-On, which are designed to help sellers manage operations more effectively and scale over time.
Shopee says the broader goal is to strengthen MSME resilience by combining near-term support with longer-term investments in infrastructure and digital capabilities.
