[ UPDATE 31/12/2025 16:35 ] Tesla Malaysia has updated that it has delivered over 7,200 EVs, consisting of over 2,800 Model 3 and over 4,300 Model Y.

Tesla Malaysia is ending the year on a high note as the ongoing EV tax holiday ends on 31st December 2025.

As shared on Instagram, there are now over 14,000 Tesla EVs on Malaysian roads while its EV charging infrastructure has expanded with over 155 charge points including 76 Supercharging stalls.

While the Tesla Model Y took the #1 spot in November, the Tesla Model 3 emerges as the most popular fully electric sedan in Malaysia.

The brand recently achieved its 10,000th delivery milestone in September. In the final quarter of 2025, Tesla’s delivery numbers have rocketed as buyers rush to secure their new EVs with the tax incentives.

According to JPJ registration data from January to November 2025, a total of 5,468 Tesla EVs have been registered this year so far.

Meanwhile, Tesla claims to have delivered over 6,900 7,200 units in 2025 which consists of over 4,100 4,300 units of the Model Y and over 2,700 2,800 units of the Model 3. We expect the actual full year 2025 numbers to be higher as we count down the final days of the year.

From the looks of it, December 2025 is expected to be Tesla Malaysia’s record month with deliveries expected to hit close to 1,500 units.

When it comes to Tesla’s EV charging network, they have deployed a total of 76 Supercharging stalls (DC Charge Point) at 17 locations in Malaysia. Meanwhile, for Destination Charging (AC Charge Point), there are 79 stalls at 18 locations. These chargers are still exclusive to Tesla vehicles only.

Among the latest Tesla Supercharger deployments include Pavilion Damansara Heights and Nexus Bangsar South.

Tesla Malaysia officially started deliveries in November 2023 with the introduction of the new Tesla Model 3 “Highland” and followed by the Tesla Model Y in March 2024.

According to JPJ data, there are 12,849 Tesla EVs registered in Malaysia up to November 2025. This is inclusive of 720 units (mostly grey imported) Tesla registrations up to September 2023.

BYD still leads the local EV segment with a total of 24,945 EVs registered up to November 2025.
