EV owners planning to charge their vehicles at Suria KLCC take note! Gentari has announced that its chargers at the location will be undergoing maintenance work and the affected charging points will be unavailable for a week starting tonight, 11pm on 22nd December 2023.
The maintenance works affect a total of 23 AC charge points and four DC charging points located inside the basement car park of the world’s tallest twin towers. Gentari says the maintenance was necessary to ensure optimal performance of their charging network.
Gentari’s Suria KLCC chargers will be down for maintenance
The affected AC chargers are located located at Level P2 (near Pillar 12C and 13B) as well as Level P3 (near Pillar 12C, 13B and 14A). Also affected are the two 60kW DC chargers with two CCS2 nozzles located at Level L4 (near Pillar 6B).
These AC charge points are located at the season pass parking area which is only accessible after 6pm on weekdays or all-day during weekends and public holidays. The AC charge points which support up to 11kW are priced at RM0.10 per minute (RM6 per hour).
If you want a quick top-up, there are four DC charging bays at P4 which are priced at RM0.60 per minute (RM18 for 30 minutes or RM36 per hour). The DC chargers are accessible to the public 24/7.
Free EV chargers still available at Suria KLCC Premium Parking
If you need to charge at Suria KLCC, the free 20 AC charge points at the Premium Parking area at P2 are still working during the maintenance period. To access the premium parking area, you’ll need to pay a one-time RM10 fee at the entrance and it accepts Touch ‘n Go or contactless payment cards. The standard KLCC parking fee still applies even when you park at the Premium Parking area.
However, do note that the chargers do not come with a cable and you’ll need to bring your own Type-2 AC cable to charge. There’s no activation required, so you can just plug in and charge.
Parking at KLCC costs RM5 for the first hour and RM4 for subsequent hours during the weekdays and Saturday (before 12pm). After 5pm, there’s a flat rate of RM17 after the first 4 hours. During the weekends (starting from Saturday after 12pm) and public holidays, it costs RM5.00 for the first 3 hours and the subsequent hours cost RM4.
