TQ Wuling Malaysia has announced a special Malaysia Day rebate for the company’s first product in our market, the TQ Wuling Bingo EV. Born through a collaboration between Tan Chong Motor (TCM) and SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), the Bingo was launched last December as one of the most affordable EVs in Malaysia.
Locally assembled (CKD) at TCM’s Jalan Segambut plant in KL, the B-segment hatchback offers a lower entry point for consumers looking to transition to zero-emission urban transportation in Malaysia. With the new promo, the Bingo is now more affordable to own than ever.
TQ Wuling Bingo EV Malaysia Day Offer
In conjunction with the upcoming Malaysia Day, TQ Wuling is offering a RM4,000 rebate for the Bingo Pro, alongside a RM2,000 rebate for the higher-end Bingo Max. The company is also providing an additional RM2,000 free insurance rebate for both variants.
Depending on the variant, buyers enjoy a total savings of up to RM6,000. Here is how the Bingo’s pricing looks inclusive of the rebates:
- TQ Wuling Bingo Pro: RM56,800 (Normal price: RM62,800)
- TQ Wuling Bingo Max: RM63,800 (Normal price: RM67,800)
Customers will also be provided with a free portable EV charger, while those who choose the Max variant will receive a free 7kW AC wallbox charger for their home.
The prices listed above are on-the-road pricing, excluding insurance. While TQ Wuling stated that this offer is available for a limited time, the company did not mention a specific end date.
TQ Wuling Bingo EV Malaysia Colourways & Warranty
For Malaysia, the Bingo is available in Milky White and Neon Blue, as well as Lavender Purple, which is exclusive to the Max variant. Regardless of the chosen exterior colour, all Bingos for the Malaysian market feature a black roof and a Caramel Latte interior colourway.
The Bingo is currently backed by a 5-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty and a separate 8-year / 120,000km warranty for its high-voltage battery. The drive motor is also covered by an 8-year / 160,000km warranty.
TQ Wuling Bingo EV Quick Specs
The retro-styled Bingo is designed primarily for city driving and light commuting. Both variants utilise a front-mounted single electric motor delivering 50kW (67hp) and 150Nm of torque.
The main distinction between the two trims lies in their battery sizes and corresponding ranges. The entry Pro variant features a 31.9 kWh LFP-based Magic battery offering up to 333km of CLTC-rated range (estimated 270km WLTP), while the Max variant comes with a larger 37.9 kWh battery providing up to 410km (estimated 335km WLTP).
For charging, both Bingo variants support 50kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 30% to 80% in under 35 minutes. They also support 7kW AC charging, which fully replenishes the Pro variant in 4.5 hours and the Max variant in 5.5 hours.
Inside, this 4-seater EV comes with dual 10.25-inch displays: one serves as the digital instrument cluster, while the other handles the infotainment system, complete with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
The dashboard features soft-touch leatherette panels alongside glossy, ceramic-like accents around the infotainment display, physical climate control knobs, and air-conditioning vents. The Bingo also features a floating island-style centre console that opens up floor space between the driver and front passenger, while the seats are upholstered in leatherette.
In terms of practicality, the Bingo offers 395L of boot space, expandable to 1,240L with the rear seats folded down, along with a pair of removable floor storage bins. However, the Bingo lacks a telescoping steering wheel, power-adjustable front passenger seat, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities. It rides on a MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear suspension setup, fitted with 15-inch steel wheels, wheel covers, and Linglong Green-Max HP010 185/60 tyres.
For safety, the Malaysian-spec Bingo comes standard with 6 airbags across both variants. While TQ Wuling highlights the inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the EV lacks higher-level active driver aids such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), or Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC).
Instead, the safety suite is more foundational, offering Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), and Door Opening Warning (DOW). Other features include Low-Speed Pedestrian Warning (LSPW), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), rain-sensing automatic wipers, impact-sensing automatic door unlock, and walkaway automatic door locking.
