The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 foldables are scheduled to be revealed next week but now we get to see them in its full glory ahead of launch.
Serial leakster Evan Blass (aka EVLeaks) has revealed clear renders of the device along with promotional images containing some key hardware details.
As speculated previously, Samsung will be launching two Z Fold 8 versions which include a new “wide” shape. Meanwhile, the large-screen Fold flagship which we’ve known for years will be called the Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Both devices are expected to run on Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy like the current Galaxy S26 Ultra.
As shown above, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 comes in a more squarish form factor which is quite similar to the Huawei Pura X. At the rear, it gets a dual-camera setup which consists of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle shooter.
For selfies and video calls, the device gets a 10MP camera for both the inner and cover display.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra looks virtually identical to the current Galaxy Z Fold 7. It still gets a 200MP main camera and a 10MP telephoto shooter that supports 3x optical zoom. However, the 12MP ultra-wide-camera is now upgraded with a higher-resolution 50MP shooter.
The selfie cameras remain unchanged with 10MP shooters for both outer and inner display.
While the full specs have yet to be revealed, the leaked promotional images have confirmed that both devices will offer longer battery life than the current Galaxy Z Fold 7.
The new Galaxy Fold 8 boasts up to 26 hours of video playback, while the Fold 8 Ultra boasts up to 27 hours of video playback.
EVLeaks has confirmed that the Z Fold 8 Ultra will come with a larger 5,000mAh battery. This marks the biggest battery capacity upgrade yet as the Z Fold series has been stuck with 4,400mAh capacity since the Z Fold 3.
The latest Samsung Galaxy Z series will be revealed during Samsung Galaxy Unpacked that’s happening on 22nd July 2026.
