What to expect at Galaxy Unpacked 2026

Happening in two weeks, the Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to introduce a refreshed lineup of foldables, smartwatches and potentially a new smart glasses.
The biggest redesign is expected to come with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is expected to adopt a wider, passport-like form factor. Compared to previous Galaxy Z Fold models, the wider cover display should make the phone easier to hold and type on when folded, while also providing a display that’s better optimised for widescreen video playback and multitasking when unfolded.
If you prefer the traditional Galaxy Z Fold, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which will be the direct successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to continue Samsung’s compact clamshell foldable lineup, offering a pocket-friendly form factor for users who prefer a smaller smartphone.
Beyond foldables, Samsung is widely expected to refresh its smartwatch lineup with the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
Another product that could make an appearance is Samsung’s long-awaited Galaxy Glasses. After teasing its Android XR collaboration with Google earlier this year, Samsung could finally unveil its Gemini-powered smart glasses to take on Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. The Korean tech brand has also announced collaboration with eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
