TNB Electron’s EV charger deployment continues and the latest location is in Penang near Ikea Batu Kawan.

The Charge Point Operator has deployed a 200kW DC Charger with two nozzles, located next to McDonald’s Batu Kawan Drive-Thru.

This makes it an ideal quick charging stop as there are multiple F&B options which also include KFC, Tealive, A&W and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

For this location, TNB Electron has installed a TELD DC Charger solution with two CCS2 nozzles capable of delivering up to 200kW. Similar to other locations, the charger is priced at RM1.50 per kWh and you can activate it by tapping your credit or debit card at the JuiceUP card terminal.

Take note that the charger is equipped with 250A cables and that means 400V EVs can charge up to a maximum of 100kW. Meanwhile, 800V can get up to 200kW.

As part of its opening on Friday, 15th May 2026, TNB Electron is offering complimentary EV charging as part of its operational testing period. The charger is available 24/7 and the one-day free charging offer is valid until 11:59pm.
