BHPetrol has announced a new EV charger at its Persiaran Tengku Ampuan 1 (PTAR) in Shah Alam, Selangor. The petrol station now has a 60kW DC charger deployed by DC Handal and they are offering a special promo price of just 90 sen per kWh.
The new DC charger at BHPetrol Persiaran Tengku Ampuan 1 is located near the car wash area next to the BHPetromart, making this an ideal stop to get refreshments while topping up your EV. There’s even a McDonald’s drive-thru opposite the BHPetrol station.
DC Handal has deployed an Autel DC charger unit with two CCS2 nozzles which are currently configured to deliver up to 60kW. From today, 30th June until 31st July 2025, EV users can enjoy an introductory price of just RM0.90 per kWh. That’s cheaper than AC charging on most public chargers.
Like any other DC Handal EV charging location, you can activate this charger by simply tapping your credit, debit or prepaid card on the card terminal.
Alternatively, you can also activate and pay for EV charging via TNG eWallet QR code. Just tap on TNG eWallet icon on the terminal and then show your QR code towards the bottom of the terminal.
If you prefer to use apps, this BHPetrol PTAR EV charger can also be activated via Gentari Go, ChargEV and JomCharge. Take note that Gentari Go charges a 6% roaming fee when you activate DC Handal chargers on its app.
Besides DC Handal, BHPetrol is also teaming up with TNB Electron to deploy DC chargers at strategic stations.
Late last year, TNB Electron deployed a 200kW DC Charger at BHPetrol Jalan Genting Klang 1. Recently, they have also announced plans to deploy more 200kW DC charging stations located at BHPetrol Karak and BHPetrol R&R Ladang Bikam (Northbound)
