Waiting for the next Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip foldable smartphones? Samsung has confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event is happening on the 9th of July 2025 in Brooklyn, New York.
According to Samsung, the next-generation Galaxy devices are being reimagined around a new AI-powered interface, supported by breakthrough hardware built to unlock their full potential. It added, “the future is already unfolding, and the best of Galaxy AI and Samsung craftsmanship is about to be unveiled”.
Where to watch Samsung Unpacked 2025
The Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event is happening at 10am ET on 9th July, which is 10pm Malaysian Time. As usual, the event will be streamed live via Samsung’s official YouTube channel.
Here’s what to expect from Samsung Unpacked 2025
The upcoming Samsung Unpacked 2025 could be one of the biggest event yet as the Korean smartphone maker is expected to release up to four new mobile devices and 3 smartwatches.
As hinted in the teaser “Ultra Unfolds”, it appears that the top-of-the-line foldable could be called the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra. The latest developments seem to indicate that we could be seeing two new Galaxy Z Fold models being launched at the same time – one standard Fold 7 and a range topping Fold 7 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Ultra seems to be aiming to take the crown of having the thinnest “book-style” foldable smartphone in the market. At the moment, Oppo is the thinnest at 8.93mm (when folded) with the Oppo Find N5. Meanwhile, Honor has teased that it will break records with its upcoming Magic V5 foldable that claims to be thinner at 8.8mm.
Meanwhile, for the Flip lineup, it has been speculated that Samsung would be releasing an “affordable” Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Unlike its predecessors, the Z Flip 7 is now expected to feature a more expansive edge-to-edge cover display, similar to the likes of its Chinese rivals.
On top of that, Samsung is also expected to refresh its smartwatch lineup with its new Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic and Watch Ultra (2025).

As a key market for Samsung, Malaysia will be among the first countries in the world to get the latest Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 series. Ahead of the Unpacked event, users can register their interest to unlock additional perks. This includes a RM50 eVoucher that can be used for the purchase of the next Galaxy and a chance to win prizes worth up to RM62,000 in total.
On top of that, Samsung Malaysia is also offering a Reservation+ perk, where you can unlock an extra RM210 eVoucher by paying RM10. It is also mentioned on the fine print that the redemption will be available during the pre-order period from 10:00pm on 9th July until 31st July 2025.
