Malaysia’s five major telcos – CelcomDigi, Maxis, TM, U Mobile and YTL Communications have jointedly announced special data packages for pHailing riders under Pakej pHailing Rahmah. The plans are aimed at supporting delivery riders with affordable data plans to enable them to enjoy seamless connectivity that is critical for their daily deliveries.
According to the joint statement, eligible delivery riders can sign up for postpaid and prepaid plans which come as a device bundle or as a SIM-only plan. These offerings are available to pRiders from as low as RM33/month with data quotas starting from 40GB.
The five telcos are collaborating with 16 Malaysian pHailing service providers for the initiative. The participating platforms include FoodPanda, Grab, Bungkusit, Lalamove, Parcel365, Shopee, Lazada and more. Interested and eligible pRiders can learn more about the Pakej pHailing Rahmah offers via their respective pHailing platform portal or apps starting today.
At the time of writing, only YTL Communications and U Mobile have revealed their pHailing offering on their respective websites. Yes 5G is offering its Yes Power 3G plan that comes with 150GB data for RM35/month and a 5G phone bundle for RM200. Meanwhile, U Mobile is offering rebates of up to RM120 for their U Biz postpaid plans.
