If you travel a lot and use the Wise prepaid card, we have some good news for you. You can now add your Wise card to enable Google Pay or Apple Pay on your compatible mobile devices.

Thanks to social media, the team here at SoyaCincau discovered that you can now add your Wise card to the two popular payment apps. Previously, Malaysians couldn’t add their Wise cards to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet accounts for contactless payments.

As a recap, Wise is one of the four prepaid cards in our roundup where we compared the cards for travel purposes. We found that Wise offers one of the best multi-currency experiences, and even allows you to receive money like a local in certain countries.

Unfortunately, there is no support for Samsung Pay for the time being.

How to add your Wise cards

The process to add the Wise cards for Android and iOS is the same and is very simple.

Users just need to open the Wise app, select the Card tab at the bottom of the screen, and you will see all your active cards. At the bottom of each card, you can see the “Add to” button – Gpay for Android or Apple Pay for iOS devices. Users can also add the cards from Apple Pay or Google Wallet too

All cards can be added to the wallet apps – both physical and digital cards. The same cards can also be added to the Apple Watch – it just takes a couple of clicks and you can pay with your watch right away.

Take note that OTP verification may be required to add the cards to your mobile and smart watch.
