Why is MEASAT-3d important for Malaysia? | Let’s Talk About #97

If we’re talking about landmark moments, this is one of them. Earlier yesterday, the brand new satellite, MEASAT-3d, was launched into orbit from French Guiana. This comes eight long years after the launch of the previous MEASAT-3b, and guess what, we’re going to be on-site to witness it live. But why is it important for Malaysia? Why should you care about another satellite launch?

Well, on this episode of Let’s Talk About, Alex and Amin break it down. Hint: it has something to do with improving connectivity for the underserved and unserved population.

Let’s Talk About is also a podcast. Listen here, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Successful MEASAT-3d launch

The satellite was successfully launched and we got to see it live in person. Check out Alex’s video here.
