If you want to test drive U Mobile’s ULTRA5G network, the orange telco is now offering a free trial offer to the Malaysian public.
As shared today, U Mobile says its new 5G network has achieved 82.9% 5G population coverage as of 31st March 2026.
Starting today, new users to U Mobile can redeem a trial eSIM that comes with 10GB of data and unlimited local calls for a period of 7 days.
Before redeeming this offer, make sure that you have a eSIM compatible smartphone and it is running on the latest operating system version.
How to redeem U Mobile ULTRA5G Trial eSIM
To redeem the free eSIM, first you’ll need to download the latest version of (v.3.13.11) MyUMobile app on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery.
Next click on this eSIM Postpaid Trial link, read and agree to the terms and conditions and follow the subsequent instructions. To complete the sign up process, you’ll need to complete ID and facial verification, and then fill up your personal details.
Once completed, the eSIM details will be sent to your email and you can follow the instructions to install the eSIM to your smartphone.
Take note that the free ULTRA5G eSIM Trial is limited to 1 redemption per NRIC.
According to the FAQ, the free ULTRA5G Trial will end automatically after 7 days with no automatic charges. If you wish to continue, you can sign up to any ULTRA Postpaid or Family plan via the MyUMobile app.
Take note that this trial plan is not eligible for add-on subscriptions. However, you can choose to convert your free ULTRA5G Trial to the ULTRA postpaid plan by going through the MyUMobile app.
