Alongside the Poco F4 GT and the Poco Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition, Poco Malaysia also launched the Poco Watch yesterday. It’s the brand’s first ever wearable but you should perhaps curb your enthusiasm if you were expecting something more akin to the Galaxy Watch 4 for example. Instead, the Poco Watch is positioned more as a stylish fitness tracker rather than a full fledged smartwatch.

Poco Watch Malaysia pricing and availability

The Poco Watch comes in just one configuration and will have a regular retail price of RM299. It will be made available on the official Poco store on Shopee and Lazada from the 28th of April onwards, and early birds will also be able to snag it at a cheaper price of just RM249. You’ll be able to pick from three different colourways, namely blue, black and ivory.

Poco Watch specs

Hardware-wise, the Poco Watch has a pretty standard offering for a fitness tracker at this price point. It has a 1.6-inch, 320 x 360p AMOLED touch display with a 301ppi pixel density. There’s also one physical button on the right side of the watch face. Its adjustable strap meanwhile is built from TPU plastic and measures up to 205mm long. You’ll be able to switch up the watch face with a wide range of watch faces available, or even make your own by uploading photos into its accompanying app.

Keeping the lights on is a 225mAh battery that Poco says will be able to last up to 14 days under typical usage, and you can charge it using the provided magnetic charger. The Poco Watch is also rated for a 5ATM water resistance. Overall, the Poco Watch weighs just 31g and measures 9.98mm thick. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and you’ll want to pair it to a smartphone that’s at least Android 6.0 or iOS 10.0 and newer. The Poco Watch may look pretty similar to the Redmi Watch 2 Lite, but does have a slightly bigger screen and longer battery life compared to the latter’s 1.55-inch display and 10-day battery life.

As for its functionalities, there’s over a hundred fitness modes using professional movement algorithms to help you monitor and analyse your fitness activities, such as running, rowing, yoga, swimming and more. Other notable features include 24-hour heart rate tracking, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, a SpO2 blood oxygen sensor and a multi-system standalone GNSS chip providing GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou location tracking.
