MSI is perhaps typically more well known for their gaming-focused hardware, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t feature laptops for regular folk too. In fact, MSI has today just announced that they’re revamping their whole lineup of business and productivity laptops such as the Summit, Prestige and Modern series, with all now featuring the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors too.
“MSI’s roots are in high performance laptops, and our business series laptops are built to complete any workspace. Our core mission has never changed: it’s built to be the backbone that maximises your productivity,” – Derek Chen, MSI Notebook Worldwide Sales and Marketing Director
Starting with the MSI Summit series, we have five new members in the Summit lineup, all of which feature up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors. The Summit series is MSI’s top-of-the-line business and productivity laptop, and for this year MSI will offer three sizes for the Summit series. They all come with the latest in performance and security, with the integrated Tile technology also ensuring you can use the free Tile app to locate your MSI Summit laptop if you need to.
The smallest of the bunch of the is the Summit E13 Flip Evo, which has a 13.4-inch, FHD+ 16:10 IPS display complete with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a PCIe Gen4 SSD too. For a slightly larger option, you have the Summit E14 Evo and Summit E14 Flip Evo. The former has a 14-inch, FHD+ 16:10 IPS display while the latter has a higher resolution 14-inch, QHD+ 16:10 display that also has touch support.
If you’d like to have an even bigger display, there’s the Summit E16 Flip Evo and the Summit E16 Flip. The Summit E16 Flip Evo, like the other Flip laptops from MSI, is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop. It has a 16-inch, FHD+ 16:10 IPS display with touch support, but kicks things up a notch with a 165Hz refresh rate. And if you need even more performance, MSI has the Summit E16 Flip that has up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, and 32GB of speedy LPDDR5 RAM too. The display also gets an upgrade, with a 16-inch QHD+ 16:10 IPS display with touch support, a 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and a 165Hz refresh rate.
Meanwhile, we also have the MSI Prestige series that offer thin and light chassis designs for portable yet powerful machines. There’s three new members in the MSI Prestige lineup, and all come with up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors. First up, there’s the MSI Prestige 14 Evo, with a 14-inch FHD IPS display while under the hood there’s 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM too. If you need more performance, the alternative MSI Prestige 14 comes with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 too.
But the real star of the MSI Prestige lineup is perhaps the MSI Prestige 15. Sporting a 15.6-inch IPS display, you can opt between either a 4K or FHD resolution display. The silicon under the hood has been buffed too, with up to 32GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti for the best performance possible in such a thin and light body. You also get two NVMe PCIe SSD slots for more storage expansion too.
Lastly, MSI is refreshing their Modern lineup of laptops too. The Modern series has typically been an everyday favourite for just about anyone seeking a functional yet trendy looking business and productivity laptop. Just like the rest of the laptops MSI has to offer today, the Modern lineup is powered by up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, with 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM and a PCIe Gen3 SSD. Graphics meanwhile get taken care of by the Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics. The smaller option here is the MSI Modern 14, which has a 14-inch, FHD IPS display, while the larger Modern 15 has a 15.6-inch, FHD IPS display.
