TM has replaced over 7,000 Unifi equipment for flood-affected customers for free

Following the devastating floods that happened last month, TM has announced a series of initiatives to help affected customers. One of them is the free replacement of damaged Unifi equipment with no further contract extension.

As shared on their official Twitter account yesterday evening, the majority of customers in Taman Sri Muda have lost their internet connection and 4 nodes in Pahang were seriously affected after the floods. As of 6th January, they have replaced more than 7,000 CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) in both Selangor and Pahang. Affected customers were given a new WiFi 6 router, a new modem, telephone, and the latest Unifi Plus Box.

The broadband provider has also mobilised its #TMCareCrew and volunteer staff from various divisions in different states to help customers in getting connected to their loved ones.

Customers affected by the floods can request a free equipment replacement by calling 100 or reaching out to them via live chat. The equipment replacement offer is applicable for Unifi customers including Unifi Air. For Streamyx customers, TM says the service is a discontinued product and they will offer a special package for affected customers to switch to Unifi.

In addition, TM is offering a two-week subscription waiver for customers affected by the floods and they will also extend the credit terms to 60 days as well. Recently, TM had experienced disruption for its Unifi TV service and they are offering free access to all channels from 14th January to 12th February 2022.
