A few days ago, Telekom Malaysia’s (TM) Unifi TV service was disrupted nationwide due to a fire incident at Cyberjaya. About 300,000 users were affected and fortunately, there were no injuries reported at TM’s IT Complex in Cyberjaya.

To make up for the downtime, TM is offering all Unifi TV channels for free for a month from 14th January until 12 February 2022. The free viewing access is applicable on both the Unifi TV media box and the PlayTV app. For Unifi TV Ultimate Pack customers, you’ll receive one complimentary movie on-demand voucher which will be sent out via SMS from 14th January onwards. The complimentary movie on-demand voucher is also applicable to Staff Pack users.

According to the FAQ, the Unifi TV service is 70% restored as of 10am today, 5th January 2022. The FAQ also added there’s a mismatch between broadcasted content and the program info displayed as they are still in the process of restoring its services fully. It also warned that channel censorship is also affected and they advise viewers to watch the channels at their own discretion.

If you still can’t access Unifi TV, you are advised to restart the Unifi TV media box. If it still doesn’t work, you can contact Unifi customer service via live chat.
