The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE LTE version with a Snapdragon 865 chip is now available in Malaysia. Carrying the model number G780, this their new budget flagship smartphone option that runs on a Snapdragon 865 processor. Previously, you’ll have to choose between a Snapdragon 865 powered 5G version or an Exynos 990 LTE variant.

At the moment, the Galaxy S20 FE LTE with the Snapdragon chip is priced at RM2,299 with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. That’s the same price as the Exynos 990 version after the recent price cut. It comes in 3 colour options – Blue, Orange and Violet. If you’re interested, you can purchase it right now on Shopee.

To recap on the specs, the Galaxy S20 features a 6.5″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that pushes a 120Hz refresh rate. For this specific version, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor but without 5G support, however, you still get 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable via microSD.

For taking pictures, it gets a versatile triple-camera setup at the rear which includes a 12MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto camera that offers 3x optical zoom. Both main and telephoto cameras come with optical image stabilisation (OIS). For selfies, the little punch-hole on the screen houses a 32MP front camera.

Powering the device is a 4,500mAh battery and it supports 25W fast-charging via USB-C. However, do note that only a 15W fast adaptive charger is included in the box.

As you would expect from a flagship-class Samsung device, it features stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68 dust and water resistance and wireless charging.

If you prefer to get the Galaxy S20 FE with 5G and 256GB of storage, Samsung has recently lowered the price from RM3,399 to RM2,999.
