COVID-19: New cases drop to 3 today, 182 active cases remaining

Malaysia has recorded 3 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of cases to 8,637. Fortunately, there are no new deaths recorded and the death toll remains at 121 for 15 days.

The Ministry of Health has reported 16 new recoveries and a total of 8,334 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 96.49% while the mortality rate is at 1.40%.

COVID-19 Malaysia Status

At the moment, there are 182 active cases remaining which are currently isolated and still receiving treatment. The number of cases in ICU has doubled to 4 and there’s one patient that require respiratory support.

COVID-19 breakdown

The 3 new cases today are all Malaysians. One is an imported case that has a past travel history to Fiji and New Zealand. Meanwhile, there’s one new case each in Selangor and Sabah. The ministry has also updated that there’s no new positive case today from active clusters.
