The Apple Watch Series 5 with cellular support is now available for pre-order on Celcom. Apart from the smartwatch, Celcom is also offering Apple Watch as a combo with the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max as well as the latest AirPods Pro.
The Apple Watch Series 5 is offered on Celcom’s EasyPhone instalment program. If you want to get just the watch, the 40mm version is going for RM79/month while the larger 44mm is offered for RM84/month.
Want the latest AirPods Pro with active noise cancelling? It will cost you RM36 extra each month. The Apple Watch 5 40mm with AirPods Pro is going from RM115/month, while the 44mm version combo costs RM120/month.
In addition, Celcom is also offering the Apple Watch + iPhone combo. You can get the watch plus an iPhone 11 from RM161/month. As usual, all plans are tied with a 24-month contract and it is only available at participating Celcom bluecube and dealer outlets. The Apple Watch Series 5 will be available officially on Celcom from the 13th December 2019.
To enable mobile connectivity on the watch while using the same mobile number, you would need to enable NumberShare. Similar to Digi’s AirSIM, this is a paid service and you can get it for free for the first 6 months.
On Celcom, it will cost you RM15/month and it comes with unlimited calls, data quota sharing with your main postpaid line, plus unlimited Music Walla. Unfortunately, Apple Music isn’t a supported platform under Music Walla.
To enable NumberShare, you would need to enable VoLTE in your iPhone. We’ve checked with Celcom and we are told that VoLTE will be enabled exclusively for customers with a NumberShare subscription. In case you’re wondering, VoLTE offers clearer voice calls as it uses 4G instead of 3G.
Below is the full list of Apple Watch options on Celcom EasyPhone.
To recap, the Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) is officially priced at RM2,199 for 40mm size and RM2,349 for the 44mm version. Meanwhile, the Apple AirPods Pro is retailing for RM1,099.
