Tecno Camon 50 Ultra specs and features in Malaysia

Offered in black, green, and orange shades, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra continues the goose neck design language last year’s Camon 40 series featured, but with more rounded corners, making the device more comfortable in the hand. The Camon 50 Ultra also features an upgrade in the durability side of things, featuring IP66/68/69/69K for dust and water resistance.
At the front, the Camon 50 Ultra sports a 6.78″ 1.5K (2466×1208 pixels) AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate and a 4,500-nit peak brightness. Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM that’s virtually expandable to 16GB.

Imaging-wise, you get a triple camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS and a 1/1.56″ Sony LYT 700C sensor, a 50MP f/2.4 telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle shooter. For selfies, you get a 50MP f/2.4 snapper up front.
Much like the Action Button on the iPhone or the Essential Key on the Nothing Phone, the Tecno Camon 50 series includes a dedicated AI Key on its left side. This button acts as a convenient shortcut to instantly open the camera or bring up Tecno’s suite of AI utilities. These include the Ella voice assistant, FlashMemo for rapid note-taking, and various smart productivity tools for writing and summarizing.

Beyond productivity, Tecno heavily integrates AI into its camera system. Key photography features include Super-Zoom FlashSnap, which ensures crisp zoomed photos by capturing multiple frames in quick succession and selecting the clearest one. Additionally, the AI Auto Zoom feature automatically identifies subjects—like humans, birds, or pets to generate several perfectly cropped framing options from just one picture.
Moving on, the Camon 50 Ultra packs a 6,500mAh battery that charges at 45W via USB-C. Running on HiOS 16 based on Android 15 out of the box, Tecno promises to provide the device with up to three years of major Android upgrades and five years of security patch support.
And what about the rest of the Camon 50 series of devices, you ask? Well, Tecno has not confirmed on when or if they will be coming just yet.
