Samsung Pay is a neat feature which allows you to make card payments with your Galaxy smartphone. If you’re a business owner, Samsung now wants to transform the same device into a contactless card terminal. This will allow you to accept card payments on your phone without requiring additional hardware.

The card payment solution is called Samsung Pay Touch and it appears to be released quietly for small businesses in Canada. The app is already released on the Google Play Store and Samsung’s Galaxy Store but it isn’t offered in Malaysia just yet.

According to the description, Samsung Pay Touch is a secure, convenient and cost-efficient point-of-sale solution that allows you to accept payments anytime and anywhere. It can support credit and debit contactless cards from Mastercard, Visa and Interac Flash, as well as digital payments via Samsung Pay, Google Pay an Apple Pay.

It also added that there’s no monthly fees and setup cost but there’s a transaction fee of 2.65% for credit cards while debit card transactions are charged a flat fee of $0.10 for Interac Flash cards. Samsung Pay Touch currently accept payments up to a maximum of $100 per transaction and you have the ability to send receipts to customers by email.

The platform also allows you to create multiple staff accounts and you can set it up on multiple devices linked to your account. All transactions are recorded in real-time and you can also track individual sales. The description also says that payments will be automatically deposited to your bank account within 48 hours.

At the moment, Samsung Pay Touch is only available on selected flagship models which include the Galaxy S8, S8+, Note8, S9, S9+, Note 9, S10e, S10 and S10+.
