Moto 360 camera Mod

Motorola wants to make 360 VR content creation more accessible and they have introduced a new Moto Mod that can transform your Moto Z series smartphone into a 360 camera.

The Moto 360 camera Mod was announced during the launch of the Moto Z series at Ghana but so far there are no specs or details of its hardware. What we can tell is that the Mod looks like an Incipio offGRID Power Pack with dual fisheye lens on top. Like any other Moto Mods, it is hot-swappable so you can use it immediately without the need of restarting your phone.

You can check out the Ghana Moto Z launch video below starting from the 14:40 mark.

For a clearer view, serial leakster @evleaks has tweeted a clear press render below:

Android co-founder, Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone also comes with a modular 360 camera as well but it snaps on as a smaller attachment instead of an entire back plate. Which do you think has the better modular 360 camera design? Let us know in the comments below.

For Malaysia, Lenovo will be launching the Moto Z2 Play this coming Thursday and it is thinner, lighter and faster than its predecessor.
