3 reasons Samsung Pay is the coolest way to pay right now

This post is brought to you by Samsung Pay

Cash is such an archaic way to make payments. Not only is it more prone to being stolen, you also have to make constant trips to the ATM machine to withdraw more cash. Cards, on the other hand, require signatures or pins and that’s pretty inconvenient when you’re in a rush.

So, what’s left then? Well, that’s where Samsung Pay comes in and here are the 3 reasons why you should start jumping on this bandwagon right this moment.

1. It’s super simple

With Samsung Pay, everything’s a lot simpler. Before you start using the service, simply register your Debit or Credit card in the Samsung Pay app, enrol your fingerprint, put in a backup PIN and you’re good to go.

Then, when you want to make a payment, simply swipe up from your phone (it even works through the lockscreen), authenticate with your fingerprint and place it near the payment terminal to pay. No more fumbling with your wallet or card holder.

2. It’s very secure

Samsung Pay is also a very secure way to make payments. Right off the bat, Samsung Pay doesn’t require you to have your physical card with you when you make a payment. Instead, Samsung uses the virtual card that you’ve registered on the app.

As an added layer of security, each Samsung Pay transaction uses an encrypted digital token for added security plus Samsung’s KNOX security platform to protect against malware.

Then, of course, there’s the fact that you authenticate with your fingerprint, so only you can authenticate and authorise payments.

3. It works almost anywhere

Samsung Pay works on both near-field communication (NFC) and magnetic secure transmission (MST) terminals. In other words, it works anywhere you would otherwise swipe or tap your credit or debit card. This means that Samsung Pay will work on pretty much any payment terminal from major retail stores to smaller community shops too.

What’s more, Samsung Pay now supports loyalty cards so you can add all your loyalty cards and have them in one neat place.

Samsung Pay is definitely the best way to pay because it cuts out on all the hassle, it is secure and it works almost anywhere. It supports cards from banks like CIMB, Citi, Maybank and Standard Chartered with more coming soon.

In Malaysia, Samsung Pay is compatible with Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Note5, S6 edge+, A Series (2017) and A Series (2016) for selected bank cards. To learn more on participating banks and eligible card types, head on over to Samsung Pay’s website.
