The Huawei Mate 9 is now also available on Celcom and you can pick one up from as low as RM1,199. This is tied to a 24-month contract on their FIRST Postpaid plans.
There are only two postpaid options available – FIRST Gold Plus at RM98/month and FIRST Platinum at RM150/month. FIRST Gold Plus gives you 20GB (all-day) + 20GB (weekend) data and unlimited calls, while FIRST Platinum gives you 30GB (all-day) + 30GB (weekend) with unlimited calls and SMS.
The bundled Huawei Mate 9 pricing are as follows:
FIRST Gold Plus – RM1,499
FIRST Platinum – RM1,199
During sign up, you’ll need to fork out an upfront payment of RM300 for FIRST Gold Plus or RM600 for FIRST Platinum. This upfront payment will be rebated one shot in your first-month bill.
The Huawei Mate 9 which retails for RM2,699 is a flagship phablet that comes with a 5.9″ Full HD display and it runs on the latest Kirin 960 Octa-Core Processor. At the moment, it is only offered with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that’s expandable via microSD.
For optics, it gets a similar dual-camera setup as the Huawei P9 but it comes with a 20MP (monochrome) + 12MP (colour) f/2.2 combo. For selfies, the front comes with an 8MP f/1.9 shooter. Keeping the lights on is a 4,000mAh battery which charges quickly via USB Type-C.
