The Honor 7 is set to launch on June 8th

A brand new teaser for the Huawei Honor 7 has emerged and it has revealed a launch date.

The phone has already been leaked a couple of times now, one of which shows off the rear of the device as well as the purported fingerprint scanner the phone apparently will possess. The device has been hinted at a June release so this could very well be it.

The teaser itself doesn’t reveal much besides a launch date and a well-known Einstein quote – “Imagination is everything” in Chinese. Rumour also has it that there will be two versions of the device but we don’t know if they will be launched simultaneously.

From what we know about the honor 7 variants are that they are built using aircraft grade metal for their outer shells and both the devices will have similar innards save for the RAM.

The honor 7 snartphones are expected to have a 5 inch full HD display with a Kirin 935 running the show with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage. The premium model will be packing 4GB RAM and 16GB storage. The camera is likely to be a 13 megapixel snapper with optical image stabilization, and they will be running Emotion UI 3.0 on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Both models are expected to come with 3,280mAh batteries.

Pricing is expected to be around CNY 1,999 (about RM 1191) for the basic model and CNY 2,699 (about RM 1608) for the premium model.
