JomCharge is planning a major expansion of its EV charging network in Selangor, with at least 1,000 new EV charging stations targeted for deployment over the next two years.
The charge point operator (CPO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) to explore the proposed rollout of EV charging infrastructure across the state.
The collaboration is part of Selangor’s wider target of having 4,000 EV charging stations by 2030.

Under the proposed collaboration, JomCharge, which is operated by EV Connection Sdn Bhd, will be responsible for investing in and deploying at least 1,000 EV charging stations within the next 24 months.
Meanwhile, WHB, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), will serve as the state’s strategic programme manager to coordinate the rollout of EV charging infrastructure.
The MoU document exchange took place on 14 October 2026 during the opening of the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The ceremony was witnessed by Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, and Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari.
According to WHB Group CEO Ahmad Zaki Ahmad Zainuddin, the partnership with JomCharge is a positive step towards translating Selangor’s green mobility agenda into action.
He said, “Our partnership with JomCharge provides a good start towards wider execution of this programme, and we will continue to engage more investors and strategic partners to support the State’s target of 4,000 EV Charging stations by 2030.”
He added that WHB will continue to engage potential investors and strategic partners to accelerate the wider rollout of EV charging infrastructure towards meeting Selangor’s target.
JomCharge Managing Director Lee Yuen How said Selangor remains an important market for electric mobility and they are pleased to support the State’s aspirations through its collaboration with WHB.
The initiative is aligned with the Selangor Agenda for Green Economy (SAGE), which aims to encourage EV adoption and support the transition towards lower-carbon transportation.
