Huawei’s new Ascend Mate 7 will be launched in Malaysia next week. If you want to get one now, retailer DirectD is selling original units for RM1,799. On top of that they are also giving extra hotel vouchers worth RM500.
The version that’s being offered comes with 2GB RAM along with 16GB storage instead of its higher-spec 3GB RAM unit with double the storage at 32GB. The rest of the hardware are similar with a 6″ Full HD IPS Neo display, a newer in-house developed Hi-Silicon Kirin 925 processor, 13MP Sony BSI main camera and a front facing 5MP unit.
It also gets a fingerprint scanner at the back which unlocks more easily with a touch of a finger instead of the usual swiping gesture. Apart from having a faster Cat 6 4G LTE support, the Ascend Mate 7 offers a huge 4,100mAh capcity battery and it still boast a rather slender 7.9mm thickness.
