Not to let it’s customers be swept away by increasing prices starting today due to GST implementation, vivo has indicated that it will be absorbing the 6% goods and service tax on their products so prices will remain the same.

They’ve said the same for their latest model, the vivo X5Max which is retailing for RM 1,799, so consumers can still get a good deal out of their phones.

Under the hood, the vivo X5Max has a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 mated to 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage that can support up to 128GB of storage via it’s microSD slot which also doubles as a secondary SIM card slot. It runs on vivo’s Funtouch OS 2.0 which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat and it sports a 5.5″ Super AMOLED 1080p display as well as a 13 megapixel rear camera with a wide F2.0 aperture and 6P lens. The front snapper is a 5 megapixel wide-angle lens for those who like selfies. Juicing up the X5 Max is a non-removable 2,300mAh capacity battery.

You can check out more of their devices here.
