Apple’s latest iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have officially landed in Malaysia, with a huge crowd turning up at Apple The Exchange TRX for launch day.
The Apple Store opened its doors at 8:00am, with customers forming separate queues for pre-order pickups and walk-in purchases.
This comes after pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro series started last Saturday, 12 September.

The first customer in line for pre-order pickup was James from Selangor, who arrived at 4:30am.
He picked up an iPhone 18 Pro Max in Black with 256GB of storage.
Meanwhile, the first customer in the walk-in queue was a visitor from Uzbekistan.

Unlike previous years, Apple is only launching two models from its main iPhone 18 lineup for now – the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The standard iPhone 18 is expected to arrive next year.
Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Duo, is coming to Malaysia slightly later. Pre-orders will start at 8:00pm on 16 October, followed by official availability on 23 October.

What’s new with the iPhone 18 Pro?

While the overall design remains largely familiar, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max bring several upgrades under the hood.
The biggest camera upgrade is a new 48MP Fusion Main camera with a variable aperture, which allows the camera to adjust the aperture for different lighting conditions and depth of field.
Both models are powered by Apple’s new A20 Pro chip and feature an improved thermal management system. Apple has also redesigned the Dynamic Island to take up less screen space while allowing it to display up to three Live Activities simultaneously.

The iPhone 18 Pro retains a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max gets a larger 6.9-inch screen.
Apple is also claiming longer battery life for this year’s Pro models with up to 43 hours of video playback on the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
