ChargeSini lowers DC charging fees to as low as RM1.19 per kWh

ChargeSini has reduced the charging fees of its DC chargers across Malaysia. EV owners can now utilise ChargeSini DC chargers nationwide for as low as RM1.19 per kWh.

According to the banner on the dashboard screen of the ChargeSini app, the charging fee for DC chargers at condominiums is now RM1.19 per kWh. The same rate also applies to public DC chargers with charging speeds of 40kW and below.

At the same time, the charging fee for the CPO’s 60kW to 80kW public DC chargers is RM1.29 per kWh across the board. Prior to this, the rates for these DC chargers were between RM1.29 and RM1.49 per kWh.

You can save even more by subscribing to ChargeSini membership plans, which offer up to a 20% discount on charging fees. However, do note that the CPO no longer offers free idle fees for its plans after being criticised by many, including us. ChargeSini currently has 1,250 charging points—402 of which are DC, while the rest are AC—according to another banner in its app.

New rate structure may not apply to all locations

Meanwhile, our observations show that the pricing at certain ChargeSini sites does not follow the new structure. We didn’t have enough time to check all 402 DC charging points that the CPO operates, but this brief list should clearly demonstrate what we mean:

  • Pinnacle Sri Petaling Mall KL (47kW): RM1.57 per kWh
  • Mydin Bukit Mertajam Penang (80kW): RM1.47 per kWh
  • Seventeen Mall PJ (60kW): RM1.37 per kWh
  • Mydin Pulau Sebang Melaka (60kW): RM1.37 per kWh
  • The Curve Mutiara Damansara (47kW): RM1.30 per kWh
  • One City USJ (60kW): RM1.24 per kWh
  • Sogo KL (60kW): RM1.19 per kWh
  • Nu Empire Subang Jaya (60kW): RM1.19 per kWh

As you can see, the fee is higher at some sites, while certain locations enjoy a lower rate despite having faster charging speeds. Because of this, it is always prudent to check the updated charging fee for your specific location through the ChargeSini app before plugging in.
