The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is getting a new member next week. Samsung Malaysia has shared a teaser video confirming its next Galaxy Event which is taking place on 27th August 2026.
Looking at the timing and the recent leaks, this is expected to be the official reveal of the Galaxy S26 FE.
Also known as the fan edition, the Galaxy S26 FE is basically the more affordable flagship option of the S26 lineup which will succeed last year’s Galaxy S25 FE.
Galaxy Event on 27 August

The upcoming Galaxy Event is taking place at 8pm (MYT) on 27th August 2026.
You can watch it live via Samsung Malaysia’s YouTube channel or on their website.
Since Malaysia is a key market for Samsung, you can expect pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 FE to commence shortly after the official reveal. As usual, we also anticipate early bird pre-order deals during the promo period.
What to expect from Galaxy S26 FE?

The upcoming Galaxy S26 FE is essentially an incremental update over the S25 FE. As confirmed via multiple leaks, the new budget flagship device will run on an deca-core Exynos 2500 processor which is also powering the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
It still features a triple-camera setup that’s housed on a slightly raised camera bump. The camera array consists of a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and an 8MP telephoto camera. Meanwhile, the front still features a 12MP selfie shooter.
The similarity continues for battery as it still retains a 4,900mAh unit that supports 45W fast wired charging.
With the ongoing global RAM shortage, we can safely expect a price hike for the latest Fan Edition smartphone. As a reference, the previous Galaxy S25 FE was priced from RM3,099.
