Proton’s new energy vehicle subsidiary, Pro-Net, has revealed a new colourway for the Proton e.MAS 5 called Jade Green. The unveiling took place at the ongoing Penang Autoshow 2026.

With the addition of e.MAS 5 Jade Green means that each e.MAS family member now has its own green option. Specifically, there is the Emerald Green for e.MAS 7 PHEV while the fully electric e.MAS 7 can be obtained in Turquoise Green.

The e.MAS 5 is the winner of SoyaCincau Awards 2025’s Value EV of the Year and is currently the most popular EV in 2026. According to JPJ registration data, 6,701 units have been registered from January to March, and Pro-Net said it has delivered over 8,000 e.MAS 5 so far.

Even though it has been 6 months since the EV was launched in the market, the e.MAS 5 continues to be available with a launch rebate of RM3,000. Here’s the current pricing of e.MAS inclusive of the rebate:

  • Proton e.MAS 5 Prime: RM56,800
  • Proton e.MAS 5 Premium: RM69,800

Aside from the new Jade Green option, the initial 5 colourways for e.MAS 5 remains available, such as the Marble Cream, Moonstone White, Graphite Silver, Slate Grey, and Quartz Rose.

The EV also comes standard with Flint Grey interior except for two specific combinations: the Marble Cream and Quartz Rose colourways for e.MAS 5 Premium. Both of these options come with an Alabaster White interior instead.

As part of the e.MAS 5 Power Pack, customers will also receive a complimentary 7kW AC charger alongside 5 years of unlimited in-car data. e.MAS 5 customers are also eligible for a special financing interest rate from as low as 1.95%, and a trade-in bonus from Carsome.

For those who have an old car to dispose of, they can also take advantage of the National Matching Grant Programme for the Replacement of Old Vehicle to obtain an additional rebate of up to RM2,000.

In terms of warranty, Pro-Net is offering a 6-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an 8-year / 160,000km high-voltage battery and component warranty.

Powered by a 40.16kWh LFP battery, the high-spec e.MAS 5 Premium features an 85kW (114hp) motor with 150Nm of torque. The Premium variant is also capable of delivering a WLTP-rated range of 325km.

On the other hand, there is the e.MAS 5 Prime, which is equipped with a 30.12kWh LFP battery alongside a 58kW (78hp) motor with 130Nm of torque. Given its smaller battery capacity, the Prime variant’s range is also much lower at 225km, according to WLTP standards.

In terms of charging, the DC charging speed of e.MAS 5 Prime was not revealed before today’s launch event, but Pro-Net has previously said that it takes 21 minutes to charge this variant from 30% to 80%. The DC charging time is similar to the e.MAS 5 Premium, which we know has a DC charging speed of 71kW.

Both e.MAS 5 variants are equipped with a 6.6kW 1-phase AC charging. It takes around 4.3 hours to charge the e.MAS 5 Prime from 10% to 100% via AC charging while the e.MAS 5 Premium takes slightly longer at 5.9 hours since it has a larger battery.
