Ryt Bank, Malaysia’s latest digital bank, has just announced that its Ryt Visa Debit card now supports Google Pay. This allows Ryt Bank customers with Android devices to enjoy quicker tap and pay convenience directly from their NFC-enabled smartphone.

Available starting yesterday, 19th January 2026, users can add their Ryt Card directly to Google Wallet. For easier setup, they will soon provide an option to enable the card for Google Pay directly from the Ryt Bank app on Android.

Ryt Bank is currently Malaysia’s second digital bank to support Google Pay, after Boost Bank.

According to Ryt Bank, Google Pay is designed for life without the wallet as users can make payments straight from a mobile phone with a single tap. It added that customers’ card details remain protected at all times as Google Pay will ensure that the actual card number is not shared during transactions.

Another benefit is that new Ryt Bank users can add their virtual Ryt Card to Google Pay as both virtual and physical Ryt Bank cards are supported.

Ryt Bank Chief Strategy Officer Yeoh Keong Zhen said, “With Ryt Card on Google Pay, we’re making it simpler and faster for customers to pay using the device they already rely on most – their phone. This is just one of several enhancements we’re rolling out, with more planned around Chinese New Year and Raya to make everyday banking even more rewarding.”

To add your Ryt Card to your Android smartphone, just launch the Google Wallet and then Tap to Add payment. You can enter the Ryt Card details manually or let it auto detect via your camera.

Once added, you are required to complete the verification process by authorising the request via the Ryt Bank app or get the verification code from your registered email. Once you’re done, you can start making payments via Google Pay.

According to Ryt Bank’s comments on their social channel, Apple Pay support is on their road map and they will share more updates when it is ready.

At the moment Ryt Bank is still offering 4% p.a. interest on Save Pockets which requires you to collect 5 stamps each month. You can earn a stamp when you make a minimum Ryt Card or JomPay bill payment of RM10, but take note that you can only get 1 stamp per day.

In addition, Ryt Bank is also offering 1.2% unlimited cashback for overseas usage with the card and they charge zero foreign transaction fees.
