The even affordable Motorola Moto E is going on sale in Malaysia very soon. Priced below RM400, the Moto E will be sold through Lazada on 13th August.
Seen as the little brother of its popular Moto G, it fulfils the lower price segment while maintaining its reliable pure-Android experience. For under RM400, the Moto E is expected to shake up the entry-level segment starting with its 4.3″ qHD display (960×540) that does 256 ppi (pixels per inch) and toughen by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.
It runs on a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM and comes with 4GB of on-board storage that’s expandable up to 32GB using microSD. It also gets a basic 5MP camera and it is juiced up by a 1,980mAh battery that claims to last a full day of average use. As seen earlier in the certification listing, the Moto E that’s heading to Malaysia will support dual-SIM cards. Overall, this would be a serious contender against the ASUS ZenFone 4 which is offered at a bargain basement price tag of RM299.
The Moto E will be running with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Being a Moto device, you can expect its Android 4.4.4 update to be ready when it goes on sale on 13th August. Its exact pricing would be revealed closer to its actual sales day. As comparison, the Moto E is sold in India at 6,999 Rupees which is about RM380. Motorola has been doing very well in India as they have sold over a million smart phones through Flipkart in just 5 months.
