Spotify Premium monthly subscription gets a price hike of up to RM3 in Malaysia

Subscribed to Spotify Premium in Malaysia? Get ready to pay slightly more for your monthly subscription as the music streaming platform has revealed a price increase which takes effect immediately for new subscriptions and for the next billing cycle for exiting users.

All plans ranging from Spotify Premium Student to Family are getting a price hike between RM1 to RM3 extra per month. The last price revision was in September 2023 where the monthly subscription was increased between RM1 to RM1.70.

Here’s the latest Spotify Premium subscription in Malaysia before and after the price hike:

• Individual – RM15.90 RM17.50 (+RM1.60)
• Student – RM8.50 RM9.50 (+RM1)
• Family – RM24.90 RM27.90 (+RM3)
• Duo – RM21.50 RM24.50 (+RM3)

If you’re not subscribed to Spotify Premium , they are currently offering 2 months for 1 promo for Individual, Student and Duo.

In case you missed it, Spotify Family which currently costs RM27.90/month, provides up to 4 Premium Accounts. The music streaming platform had reduced the number of shared family accounts from 6 to 4 since November 2024.
