Akaso, the Chinese-based action camera brand, has launched its first 360° action camera, the Akaso 360, here in Malaysia. This action camera is said to offer similar specs to other competitor products, but at a more affordable price.

Akaso 360 pricing and promo in Malaysia

In Malaysia, the Akaso 360 is available in two kits:

  • Akaso 360 Standard Combo – RM999
  • Akaso 360 Creator Combo – RM1,099

With the Standard Combo, you get things like two battery packs, along with a camera pouch. Meanwhile, the Creator Combo offers extras such as an additional battery pack, a multifunctional charging case, and a selfie stick.

To celebrate the launch of its first 360° action camera, Akaso is also offering the 360 with a series of promotions. For instance, the Standard Combo can be had with a RM100 discount when purchased via Akaso’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, between now and the 31st of August, 2025.

As for the Akaso 360 Creator Combo, you can enjoy a 1+1 Extended Warranty when you purchase the device by the 30th of September, 2025.

Akaso 360 Malaysia: Up to 5.7K videos, 72MP photos

Equipped with two 1/2″ 48MP sensors with f/2.25 apertures, the Akaso 360 is capable of recording 360° MP4 videos at up to 5.7K resolution, and snapping 360° photos at a resolution of up to 72MP, and in either JPG or JPG+DNG formats.

For stabilisation, the Akaso 360 utilises the brand’s 360° Horizon Lock and View Lock Steady technology. Also included are video modes such as Timelapse and Loop Recording, along with photo modes like Interval Photo, DNG8, TimeFusion, and AEB.

Features like AI Tracking, which tracks human objects’ faces to keep them in frame, and Invisible Selfie Stick, which removes the selfie stick from a 360° video automatically, are also included with the Akaso 360.

When it comes to audio recording, the Akaso 360 comes with two mics for stereo recording, and it comes with a single microSD card slot that can support up to 512GB of storage.

In terms of connectivity, the 360° camera supports dual-band WiFi at 2.4GHz or 5GHz, along with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.2. To control the Akaso 360, there’s a 2.29″ 800×480 touchscreen.

The Akaso 360 works with the Akaso 360 app, which allows you to access settings for the camera, including selecting the video frames post-filming.

Powering the Akaso 360 is a 1,350mAh lithium-ion battery, which is claimed to be able to offer up to 60 minutes of recording time for 5.7K 30fps videos on a single charge. The Standard Combo comes with two of these, while the Creator Combo comes with three.

Akaso markets the 360 as weatherproof, although no specific IP or ATM rating.
