Asus has launched a series of all-new and updated products here in Malaysia, and one of the more important ones is the new Asus Zenbook A14, which is said to be the world’s lightest 14″ Copilot+ PC, weighing quite a bit under 1KG.

Asus Zenbook A14 in Malaysia pricing and availability

The Asus Zenbook A14 is offered in two variants here in Malaysia and is available starting on the 7th of March 2025. Retail prices are as follows:

  • Asus Zenbook A14 – RM4,999
  • Asus Zenbook A14 (OLED) – RM5,999

If you get the Zenbook A14 between the 7th and 21st of March, you will receive a free Asus ZenScreen worth RM700, while stocks last.

Asus Zenbook A14 in Malaysia specs and features

As mentioned above, the Asus Zenbook A14 is said to be the world’s lightest 14″ Copilot+ PC, weighing just 899g, at least with the IPS LCD model. The higher-end OLED model weighs just slightly more at 980g.

Moreover, Asus also mentioned that the Zenbook A14 is its first all-Ceraluminum (a material combining both ceramic and aluminium) AI-powered laptop. The Ceraluminum chassis is claimed to be 30% lighter and 3 times stronger than traditional anodised aluminium.

Now, onto the Asus Zenbook A14’s display. You get two options, namely an IPS LCD and an OLED panel, with both measuring 14 inches diagonally, pushing out 1920 x 1200 pixels. Laid out in a 16:10 aspect ratio with a 90% screen-to-body ratio, the IPS LCD panel can go as bright as 400 nits, while the OLED one maxes out at 600 nits.

On the performance side of things, the IPS LCD variant of the Asus Zenbook A14 is powered by Qualcomm’s 8-core Snapdragon X chipset, while the OLED model gets the more powerful 12-core Snapdragon X Elite unit.

Both models come with Qualcomm’s Hexagon NPU that can deliver up to 45 Tera Operations Per Second (TOPS) and is paired with 32GB of LPDDR5x-8448 RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD.

With great performance comes great cooling, right? Well, with the Asus Zenbook A14, you get a dual-fan thermal system, which enables up to 45W chipset power while maintaining quiet operation. Working in a library or beside your sleeping baby? There’s also a 0dB “Whisper mode” for silent performance.

In terms of I/O ports, the Asus Zenbook A14 offers two USB 4 (Type-C) ports that support DisplayPort and Power Delivery, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, one HDMI 2.1 port, and one 3.5mm audio jack.

Connectivity-wise, the IPS LCD model packs WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, while the OLED model is equipped with more advanced WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Both variants come out of the box with FHD webcams, along with two speaker units.

As for how long the Asus Zenbook A14 can last before running out of juice, Asus reckons it can survive up to 29 hours on a single charge. Specifically, the IPS LCD model is given a 48Wh battery and can receive charge at a maximum rate of 65W. The OLED model features a larger 70Wh cell and can be charged at a maximum rate of 90W. Both variants run on Microsoft’s Windows 11 Home.
