ROG Zephyrus G14 specs
The ROG Zephyrus G14 has notably been heavily redesigned for this year’s iteration. While previously it came with up to the likes of an RTX 4090 and so was rather thick and heavy to pack enough cooling, this time around Asus is going in the opposite direction by opting to make the chassis much thinner and lighter, with the new Zephyrus G14 weighing just 1.5kg and measuring just 15.9mm thick. There’s a much more subtle design too, losing the AniMe matrix but getting a ‘Slash Lighting’ design on the lid instead.
It’s display meanwhile is a 14-inch, ROG Nebula OLED display, making it one of the first few gaming laptops to pack an OLED display alongside its larger brother ROG Zephyrus G16. This 14-inch panel pushes a 2880 x 1800p resolution and boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, a 0.2ms response time, full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and features NVIDIA G-SYNC support too. It’s also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and Pantone validated, so you’ll be able to use it for professional creative work as well.
Under the hood, the ROG Zephyrus G14 coming to our shores will be packing an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, an eight core CPU with clocks of up to 5.2GHz and a Ryzen AI NPU for AI-related tasks. That gets mated to your choice of either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 or the GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, with a maximum TGP of 90W for the GPUs. The base model will come with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory while the RTX 4060 model comes with 32GB of RAM instead; both will also have a 1TB SSD installed running Windows 11 Home.
Elsewhere, there’s a 73Wh battery keeping the lights on along with an RGB backlit keyboard, a 1080p IR webcam with Windows Hello and a six speaker setup with woofers that are now 252% louder than ever. As for I/O, you’ll find a HDMI 2.1 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, a USB-C 4.0 port, a microSD card reader and a 3.5mm combo audio jack, along with support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity.
