ASUS Zenbook 14 Malaysia Features
As a recap, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED features a 14-inch, Asus Lumina OLED display that pushes a 2880 x 1800p resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is capable of an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 600nits when in HDR and a typical brightness of 400nits. For the creatives, the display also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and comes with DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification.
Just for extra robustness and protection, there’s also a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass over the display for extra durability.
The Meteor Lake chip in the new Zenbook 14 OLED is Intel’s first CPU to support AI via the built-in NPU which Asus promises good capabilities in AI-related workloads. Intel also built its Arc GPU to drive the graphics on the laptop. The Zenbook 14 OLED will come with your choice of either the Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 155H or the Intel Core Ultra 5 Processor 125H, with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X onboard memory and up to 1TB of SSD storage. It will run Windows 11 out of the box.
I/O is nothing to be scoffed at as the thin-and-light gets a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports with support for display output and power delivery, an HDMI 2.1 output and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Wireless connectivity meanwhile is taken care of with support for WiFI 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Powering everything is a 75Wh battery that Asus says will last for up to 15 hours of use. Other features of note include an FHD webcam with Windows Hello and privacy shutter, a backlit chiclet keyboard and Harman Kardon-tuned speakers, all in a chassis that’s just 14.9mm thick and 1.2kg light.
Asus is also committed to save the planet, and the new Zenbook 14 uses environmentally minimizing materials (up to 50% post-consumer- recycled (PCR) materials and 100% recyclable eco-conscious packaging) as well as power saving measures (ENERGY STAR power-efficiency by over 50%) as well as maintaining a strict US Military-grade testing to ensure durability, hence maximising the lifespan of the laptop.
